Medical conditions : Williams was suicidal at the time of his disappearance.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Graying black hair, green eyes. Williams may have a goatee, and he wears eyeglasses with thin metal frames. He walks with a wide gait and a slight limp. His nickname is Bill.

Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Williams was last seen in Cullman, Alabama on September 28, 2017. His family last had contact with him by email on October 1. He wrote that he was suicidal and was driving to California because he wanted to see redwood trees before he died. Around that time, his cellular phone pinged on the Highway 62 in the Clearview, Oklahoma area.
Williams has never been heard from again. On October 12, his black 2010 Ford Fusion with the Alabama license plate number 1CS6214 was found on the side of westbound Interstate 40 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. There was no sign of him at the scene. His case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known.
