Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : African-American male. Black hair, brown eyes. Simpson has a tattoo of the name "Dan" on his back, a tattoo of a skull with fire and the words "Slim Thug" on his left arm, a tattoo of a Grim Reaper and his middle name "Dante" on his right arm, and a tattoo on his abdomen. He was wearing a bEthnicity : on his arm at the time of his disappearance. He may go by a variation of his middle name, Dante.

Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Simpson was last seen in the 1000 block of Merritt Street in Altamonte Springs, Florida on March 14, 2002. He has never been heard from again. Few details are available in his case.
Simpson had served a two-year sentence for theft and witness intimidation and was on parole at the time of his disappearance; his parole period was supposed to end in November 2003. He is classified as an absconder as well as a missing person.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
