Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Thomas-Wardell was last seen in Houston, Texas on July 17, 1970, two days before her eighteenth birthday. She was was attending Durham Business College downtown and was last seen at the bus stop on the corner of Bennington and Hirsch Road, on her way home from her day's classes. She never arrived at her residence in the 4100 block of Corio and has never been heard from again.
Thomas-Wardell left behind a daughter, who was a year old at the time of her disappearance. She worked at a discount store, and never picked up her last paycheck; it was eventually claimed by her husband. It's uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning and her case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known.
