Description, clothing, jewerly and more : A shirt; jeans; purple, yellow, red and white Air Jordan sneakers; and a gold chain necklace with a medallion.
Medical conditions : Smith suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and is in need of medication. He has violent mood swings as a result of his condition and caution is advised when approaching him. He may also suffer from amnesia and not remember who he is or how to get home.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : African-American male. Black hair, brown eyes. Smith has a tattoo of the face of Jesus on his right shoulder and a tattoo of the face of a lion on his left shoulder.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Smith was last seen in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on October 3, 2006. His girlfriend went out in the middle of the night to get food, and when she returned he was gone. He changed his shirt and left his girlfriend's house on Booker Street, driving his bright blue/turquoise 1993 Pontiac Grand Am with the North Carolina license plate number NYB3645, and has never been heard from again.
There were reported sightings of him in the local area after his disappearance, but none of these were confirmed. His vehicle, which contained several extra changes of clothes, was never located.
Smith maintained daily contact with his loved ones prior to his disappearance, and he had promised his mother he'd visit her house on October 4, but none of his family and friends have heard from him since he went missing. He graduated from Parkland High School and was attending Forsyth Technical Community College at the time of his disappearance. His case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 25% of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends. Several organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and imAge at the time of disappearance: s of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.
